See our frequently asked questions about our Hen Dance Experiences in the UK. Prepare the perfect Hen Dance Party with Dance Party Experience.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing you can move in i.e. shorts, leggings, and vest top. You can choose if you would like to dance in trainers or bare feet. Dance is a physical activity which can cause the internal body temperature to rise, please dress appropriately. If you’re still unsure – have a gander through our WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR blog.
Or for advice on how to costume your party with accessories - check out our MORE IS MORE Blog. We encourage you to dress up for your party, all costumes welcome!

What time should we arrive for our lesson?

It’s a good idea to arrive 10-15 minutes before the lesson so you have time to get changed and fill water bottles etc, especially with larger groups, we don’t want you missing out on any party time! However, please don’t arrive more than 15mins prior to your booking as there are no waiting areas at any of our studios.

Can people watch?

Yes, spectators can watch FREE of charge. Please let us know if advance and where possible we will request chairs be made available in the dance studio.

Can we take photos and film the dance routine?

Yes, cameras and smartphones at the ready! Gather your tribe, you can take as many photos and videos as you want, perfect for instagram & facebook posts! Your teacher will offer to take a group photo and film the completed dance routine on your smart phone, so you can take the memories away with you on the day. Remember to mention us @dancepartyexperience #dancepartyexperience

Do I need to find a venue myself?

Your personal event manager will take care of all the booking details for you, so sit back, relax and get ready to party.

Do you have insurance?

All our teachers have Public Liability Insurance. We can bring these documents to your party if you require it, just ask!

Can I add more people to our group?

Yes, you can add additional guest to your Dance Experience at any point prior to the party by notifying your personal event manager and making the relevant payment. Please note our teachers do not take cash or card payments on the day.

What's the minimum or maximum number of people that can attend?

A minimum of 3 people is required for Dance Party Experience bookings. The maximum number depends on the size of the studio, please let us know your guest list number and we will find the correct size studio. We use a range of studios and the largest holding up to 70 people. Please enquire for availability.

Does the dance studio's have full changing facilities?

Yes, all of our studios have changing room facilities available for you to use before and after your party. Each venue differs slightly so check with your event manager.

GymBox studios have full changing room facilities including showers, shower gel, hairdryers and toilets. You can hire a towel £1.50.

Studio Movement & London Rehearsal Space have two toilets suitable for changing and 2 shower cubicle but bring your own towel and toiletries.

Danceworks have full changing room facilities including 7x open showers, hairdryers and toilets. Please bring your own towel.

Pineapple Dance Studios have full changing room facilities including 6x showers, shower gel, hairdryers and toilets. However, please bring your own towel.

All studio locations outside of London have changing room facilities available for you to use before and after your party. However, please ask your personal event manager with regards to shower facilities and towel hire for specific studios.

How far in advance should I book?

Dance studios get snapped up quickly and are booked on a first come first serve basis. We suggest you secure your preferred studio time and date ASAP. The cost of the studio hire secures your preferred party time and date, the remaining balance is then only due a minimum of 14 days prior to the party.

The sooner you book the better, however we can accommodate last minute bookings.

Do I get free accessories with my booking?

Yes one FREE accessory is included in all Hen, Birthday & Kids Dance Experience packages.

What's the difference between a one hour and 1.5 hour dance experience?

The 1 hour Party was designed for parties who had tight time constraints or budget restrictions. We would always recommend the 1.5 hour Party. However, the 1 hour party is just less choreography. So same awesome Dance Experience, just shorter ;-)

Do I need exact numbers to make a booking?

No! Definitely not. This can be the hardest part of your job as the group organiser. Every single group is the same in the sense that getting a definite group size in the early stages is impossible. To make this easy for you we only need a rough idea of numbers initially, we can then book the studio hire based on these figures. However, we would need to know the final numbers a minimum of 14 days in advance as seen on our terms and conditions.

Do you cover different locations?

We are based at the famous Pineapple Dance Studios in London. However, we cover 14 prime party locations including Bath, Bristol, Brighton, Bournemouth, Cambridge, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Leeds, Maidstone, Manchester, Nottingham and Southampton. If you can’t see your desired party location then please get in contact as we are happy to travel to you, travel costs additional.

Do I need any dance skills or experience?

No, all of our Dance Party Experiences have been specially designed for all ages, abilities with an emphasis on FUN!

What if we already have a venue?

If you already have a venue in mind we are more than happy to come to you, provided there’s a clear space for everyone participating and a stereo system. available. Travel costs outside of city centres additional. Please enquire and we can provide you with a quote.

Can pregnant people join in?

We have pregnant ladies join in and our teachers just teach them how to soften the movement, or take it easier. We also have ladies who prefer to sit and watch the class. Which we completely understand also. Spectators can watch for FREE.

Obviously, a pregnancy is a very personal experience. If they feel physically confident and have seeked professional advice from their GP or midwife. We are happy for them to participate.

Like any physical activity though, one does so at their own risk.

Can we drink alcohol and bring food?

Strict no-alcohol policy in all studios. No food or drink allowed inside the dance studios, apart from water.

What do I do on the day?

On arrival at your studio please tell the receptionist that you are here for Dance Party Experience and they’ll guide you to your studio. Your teacher will meet you inside the studio, ready to go at the time of your party.
